One man's attempt to go from couch potato to marathon runner. One step at a time. So many steps.

As is usually the case, I haven’t been doing very well with my running lately. In fact, I have barely done any at all in the last few months.

However, I ran the Feet on the Street 5K for Wood Lane Residential Services, Inc. with my dad last weekend, and managed to complete it with a much better time than I expected - 33:42.

It was a fun race with a pretty small field, and it was good to be back in my old stomping grounds in Bowling Green.

Hopefully I can use this as a springboard to get back on track with my fitness.

2 things:

1- My running group didn’t do a second day last week, so I didn’t really have to catch up.

2- Instead of doing W2D3 yesterday like I was supposed to, I did W3D3. Yipes! 3 min running segments, compared to 1:30. But at least I know I can do them!
